Henbury and Brentry Community Council have £25,000 to spend from September on activities and projects for 11 -14 year olds in our area.

UPDATE 1st AUGUST

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO SUBMITTED AN IDEA DURING JULY ABOUT HOW HENBURY AND BRENTRY COMMUNITY COUNCIL CAN SPEND £25,000 TO FUND TOP CLASS SUPPORT FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN OUR AREA AGED 11 -14.

We have had a great response from the community for this project, with 34 ideas submitted through this website and through the ideas box in Henbury Library.  To see all of the ideas that have been put forward click here

On Tuesday 3rd August the Community Communicator team from BS10 Big It Up! will be at Blaise Castle collecting ideas.  It's your last chance to put your ideas forward before shortlisting and the public vote.

Of course, you can still register, log in and comment on any of the ideas that have been put forward on this website.

Next Steps:

The ideas stage of the project is now closed.  Please do not submit any more ideas. Ideas posted after 1st August will be removed.
Between the 1st and the 15th August we will be looking at the ideas and shortlisting the ones that will be put to the public vote.
From the 16th August until the 2nd September you will have the chance to vote for the ideas that you think should be funded and should happen in Henbury and Brentry from September.
So that we can spend the money effectively we will package ideas together and will be asking you to vote on one of the packages.

There will be two ways to vote:

1. The ideas packages will be on the website (see link above) from the 16th and you will be able to vote there.

2. Visit the Henbury Library and vote using the traditional method of ballot paper and ballot box.

Voting will take place from Monday 16th August until 4pm on Thursday 2nd September 2010

After the vote has closed we will be holding a public meeting so that members of the community can have one last opportunity to discuss the projects and cast a final vote.

The public meeting will be held at:

Emmanuel Chapel, Satchfield Cresent, Henbury

On Saturday 4th September 2pm-4pm
